Who are we?

Some of us work in state or local P12 classrooms, public policy or advocacy. Some of us are high quality charter supporters.

Some see promise in district reform and are agnostic about school governance type.

All of us want to improve educational opportunities for all kids.

Why are we Allies for Educational Equity?

We are uncomfortable with the discourse of today that villifies and oversimplifies. We don't pretend that the answers are simple or that there is one silver bullet. But, we also don't pass the buck.

Just as we do the hard work to reimagine what it will take to change life trajectories and prove what's possible, it's time for us to put together modest but meaningful political contributions to collectivize our voice and our impact.

Our mission: To unite the political voice of education reformers so zip codes don't determine destinies.

By building a culture of political giving among our own through the pooling of hard dollars—the most valuable funding in elections— WE can take our own seat at the table with policymakers who have not consistently heard voices of reform on the campaign trail.

Then, WE decide how and to whom our funds are directed, informed by our expertise in practice and policy.
